Yesterday we looked at some of the Biblical imagery that leads some believers to see the nation of Israel and its potential third temple as the fulfillments of various prophecies. So to investigate this further, we have to ask about Israel itself, Biblically speaking. Can it be true that a little detail from the story of the birth of Christ can hold the key to unlocking some of this imagery? On Something’s Happening Here, we believe that because God Almighty is the true author of all the Scriptures, we can therefore find big truths by comparing smaller, related truths when we study “line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little, there a little” as it says in Isaiah 28:10.
