As war continues to rage in Gaza between Hamas and Israel, tens of thousands of people have died from injury, hunger, or disease; plus, of course, the original 1,200 or so Israeli victims of the October 7, 2023 attack. All that seems like a high price to pay for any reason at all, but what if among the reasons given was the purchase of some red cows from Texas? Believe it or not, red heifers are at the heart of this war, and whatever chaos carries forth from it. This week on Something’s Happening Here, we will look at the bovine responsible for the current war, and the many issues that surround them.
